WeiTel is proud to be an active part of the SCTE community.  Our Management Team’s participation provides multiple resources which are essential to maintaining credibility and long-term value for our customers.  We also utilize SCTE programs and conferences which offer a first hand opportunity to attain innovative knowledge and skill sets as the demands of the telecommunications industry change and develop.

SCTE certifications enable WeiTel and its Employees to demonstrate proficiency of technical knowledge that is essential to the telecommunications industry. The certifications also serve as an industry-recognized benchmark for technical expertise. 

Bruce Weintraub, founder and president of WeiTel, is a Senior Member of SCTE.  He chaired the sub-committee for Maintenance Practices and Procedures and the sub-committee for Coaxial and Fiber Optic Construction Techniques from 1992 to 2000. During that time, his groups developed manuals to set construction standards for the industry. Bruce was president of the SCTE Chesapeake Chapter and past chairman and president of the SCTE Delaware Valley Appalachian Chapter.
